Owner, AUTHOR

Aaron is an 8-year veteran of the USAF who’s passionate about creating a legacy of skill and resilience. Aaron’s experience includes time working as a member of the Air Force’s Battlefield Airmen as a Weather Technician, in military law enforcement, and as a field scientist for the USGS. Additionally, Aaron is a licensed EMT, HAM radio operator, and FEMA certified in Disaster Response.

His interests include rebuilding old 4x4's, shooting (as natural selection intended: using good tactics), rescue medicine, lock-sport/security, escape and evasion, urban exploration, fitness, environmental science, emergency management, and parsing out what creates emergencies so we can better understand them.

Until his recent retirement, Barry was a Texas Master Gardener volunteer for 10 years, serving in 2017 as president of his county Master Gardener association. Barry's work as an ISG contributing author comes from a broad base of disciplines; from his work with the Master Gardener's association, to serving as a wartime officer in a combat arms unit, Barry brings a tremendous wealth of experience and knowledge, and is a respected elder in the ISG community. In addition to his experiences, Barry's involvement in community outreach through the Master Gardener's association has demonstrated his extraordinary commitment to teaching young people about sustainable agriculture and food security. Barry's experiences as a small business owner, HAM radio operator, marksman, and private pilot give him a broad and deep knowledge of skill integration and communicating valuable knowledge to broad audiences.
